It is very complicated to transmit to the robots of ability, which we possess themselves: to be oriented in the room, to react to the sounds, to receive speech or to recognize the objects of different sizes, from different materials, different strength.
Even understanding of the difference between the open door and the window can prove to be improbably to complex for the robot. But scientists begin to find answers. Another barrier became the cost of the sensors, which make possible for robot to determine distance to the object, or price of the engines or the mechanisms, which make it possible to manipulate by objects. But prices are reduced. Today the creators of robots can integrate chips, video cameras and microphones, and also other sensors on the reasonable price. In the first years of existence PK we realized, that we need the element, which would make it possible to shift entire foremost work in the industry, capable of producing production on the commercial footing.
That was required, proved to be subsequently Microsoft BASIC. When we created this language of programming, we placed the general bases, which made it possible to use the programs, developed for a special series of computer equipment, and on other models. Of the industry, which generates of robots, it is necessary to find the missing element in order to complete the same qualitative jump, such as completed computer technology 30 years ago. It cannot be predicted, what will be this leading directions new sectors. It is completely probably, robots will render aid by aged. It is possible that they will help to be moved invalids, will increase force and capability for the resistance of soldiers, workers, medical personnel. Even if some robots of tomorrow are similar to the anthropomorphous machines as in the "starry wars", then large part of them not will have nothing in common with the "human appearance". Gradually, with the development of technologies, it will complicatedly determine, what is robot is. New machines will carry out special work, they will be omnipresent, but they will so little resemble on robots from science fiction, that them even not they will call robots. But, becoming accessible for the users, these devices can have the same profound influence on that, as we work, we associate, we learn and are entertained how PK in the last 30 years.
